Closing this club

It really makes me sad, but I have to close
this group, which was the oldest Kankuro-fangroup on dA so far.
But that does NOT mean, I´ll deactivate this account.
You still have the possibility to browse around the gallery/fav´s collection.
Reasons why I have to close this club are:
I couldn´t convert this club into the group-system.
This system surely is very efficent and also took over the majority of clubs.
I can´t effort /it won´t make much sense to run this old-styled club anymore, BUT
I run an other group -> which shall be the perfect alternative
for all beloved Kankuro-fans here.

This is a club dedicated to Kankurou, a character from the anime/manga Naruto. Everyone has their own reasons to like him, but this is something most of us agree on: he gets too little affection from the fans. This club is here to gather Kankurou fans and their feelings, fan art, and fan fiction to a single spot for everyone to see. See the vitality of this fandom RARR!

Also, you don't have to take just my word for it. Check out our memberlist, it might surprise you.

Now then, you may be asking Jan? What the heck is that? And you also may be asking Why did you put a U at the end?? Well, one of our One True Founder's dA friends (TeenBulma) said that someone told her that after about every few words or something, Kankurou says "Jan" at the end for the anime. Confused? If you have episode 20 of the Naruto anime, go check it out! Listen to the Japanese voice acting when Kankurou talks. As for the "u" thing, "ou" is an another way to write the long "o" in the end of Kankurou's name. You've noticed that the "o" in Kankurou's name is a bit longer than in, for example, Konoha or Naruto, right?

How to Send Fan Art & Fiction</u>

Just send us a NOTE with the words "Fan Art" or "Fan Fiction" as the subject and a link to your deviation in the note itself. If you aren't a member, we can at least fave it. Only the members' deviations are submitted to our gallery and only strictly Kankurou-related deviations are allowed.
(That means: Pictures with Kankuro AND/OR his puppets in it are allowed!)

New moderator. She's a crazy person, who loves to moderate clubs, add new members and submit new art. Not active anymore though, or so it seems.

(refers to herself as Kanku) Newest mod.  She's a computer geek in every sense of the word and who's been trying to moderate a club for a while now.  Kankurou's her first cosplay ever and thus she's never abandon him.  Not active anymore. Half active...when time permits

She likes to care about/take over Naruto-clubs, which are already pretty big, but sadly have been not active anymore. (Prefers Kankuro-related ones for sure.)Now she´s trying her best with making this club active again too.

Well, he's my fauvorite character 'cause in Naruto Shippuuden he's a very strong guy. I love when he says bad words and when he's in pain for Gaara, he's a very nice person.

Kankuro ís in my top5 fav Naruto character list (my fav list: 1.Naruto 2.Sakura 3.Kankuro 4.Hinata 5.Kakashi ). I love him and he's puppets! and he is so smexy...





I think Kankurou doesn't get nearly enough credit as a character, everyone's all over Sasuke and other popular characters, and they totally just abandon Kankurou, he's just an all around amazing character(Just because he's not an emo hottie doesn't mean he doesn't deserve a huge fan base)



what I love about Kankurou. Lets see.
I love that wry little smirk of his, and his clever eyes. I love how he doesn't look like any other character on the show, his design is so unique. I love how he uses puppets because that shit is wicked cool, and that badass kabuki thing hes got going on. Hes all like "I will fuck your shit up and you won't even know from WHAT DIRECTION." Hella.
















I first took interest in Kankuro's character when he showed up to saved Kiba. His total skill in killing (er, slaughtering) the opponent made me laugh in glee. Then, in Shippuuden when Kankuro truly takes on the role of older brother to Gaara, I was sunk. The way he rushes after him and fights... the way he grabs that councilman and nearly punches him... and the way he greets Gaara when he's revived... Kankuro is an excellent older brother. Not to mention he has an awesome attitude: "I've only been recovered for a short while, and I'm already having to listen to your crap?" (paraphrased). And, past all of the above, I've RPed 4.5 fanfictions with Darkhelmetj and played Kankuro's role for all 4.5 of them (to her Gaara). I've been spending a lot of time in Kankuro's head, so to speak, and I think he's too often ignored!

Well I like Kankuro becuase of the kitty-hat...Come on! That kitty-hat is amazing!! I also love him because of his laid back and sorta weird personality, he's the most I guess you can say funniest of the siblings.
I love his face, not many anime characters have kubuki face (i know I mispelled that...)

Ahaha! I love Kankurou! He's is DEFINITELY one of my favorite characters in any anime I've watched :] His technique is amazing, and I love his personality. He's funny, and can be very kind at times. His puppets may be creepy, but honestly, how can you not like them!? And I also love his outfit.... that cute little kitty hat :3 Kankurou is a beast. <3




Kankuro is easily one of the most underrated characters in the show. Especially towards Shippuden, it becomes obvious that there's a lot more to him that meets the eye, and he has so much potential for character development, and in the show it's only scratched at during the Gaara Rescue arc


I like kankuro because I think hes an original type of anime character, not like the typical common ones. Besides in shippuden he cares of gaara his brother and risks his own life for him prooving his courage....well hes also strong and cute but I think the first reasons are more important XD

I like Kankurou because he is an underappreciated/minor character, and his design is different from the other characters. He isn't a "pretty boy", but he's still very awesome and likable. I also like his fighting style, if that accounts for anything.

Here are some of the many reasons I like Kankuro.

One, he's from the sand. You have to be awesome if you're from the sand. And Kankuro just...proves it. Plus he's the oldest son of the kazekage and brother of the future kazekage. Awesome must run in the family.

Two, he is just too sexy. Especially without the makeup Yum~ The kitty hat and puppet totally complete his look <33

And finally three, he has got the greatest personality. He's funny and an all around unique character. And sadly that is sometimes a hard thing to find in anime. (Plus he's way better than stupid emo boy Sasuke) *mauledbySasukefangirls*

So that's pretty much what i can come up with. Please excuse my super lame writing and the whole late forgot about it bit. xDD

Kankuro is a sexy beast.
I like him because he's a pupeteer, pupeteers are just great. He so slick. I also like the way he dresses.




One decent reason?  I only have like fifty -_-
Anyway -
1. Well, first he uses a giant (and totally cool) PUPPET to attack.  And poison.  IS that not totally sweet!  And he manages not to kill himself with all of that poison
2. He has a depressing past.  Please, poor kid - Psycho little brother, psycho father, dead mother, girly uncle and his sister is bossy -_- Give him a break
3. Does 'he's hot' count as a reason?  He's tall and wears purple makeup ^^  Pretty sweet.
4. Our dear Kankurou is also quite strong.  He ties Shino (who is one of the strongest Konoha Genin) and he already has three puppets by 16 and is a jounin ^^  He also survives an attack by Sasori who MADE all three of his puppets.
5. I've cosplayed him before.  Not very well...but my Karasu was the bomb
I could keep going...



Kankurou's one of my absolute favourites!


I love Kankuro! Hes my 2nd fav caracter EVER! I always liked caracters with a doll or a puppet. They're always so special! And Kankuro is always so cool and chill. It always makes me laught when he was afraid of Gaara. lol

#1: Kankurou is a puppeteer. I LOVE PUPPETEERS! They're skilled and very awesome.

#2: Kankurou wears makeup/facepaint. That's so hawt...

And last, #3: Kankurou's personality and skills are so very great. I love his attacks, and overall attitude, and plus, he's cute!



Reason why I like Kankurou:

This may sound lame but just hear me out and I'll explain, I like him because hes different. He chooses to wear the cerimonial paint when I'm sure that he's been teased about it a million times before,  I'm sure he knows that he would be very popular with girls if he didnt wear the make up and the hat to cover his face and hair but he still does. Hes learned to get along with his family members (unlike Sasuke) and...I dunno the way he acts is just different then everyone else.






Kankuro is the epitome of awesome because is HE the master of puppets. What more could you want? Nothing, that's what. He's hot and he's got puppets, that's everything a severely disturbed girl could want.

First and foremost, Kankuro is my favorite Naruto character.  His style of genjutsu is extremely cool and the idea of using puppets is very creative by my standards.  I also love his personality and his sense of style (the face makeup is very unique).

Why I like Kanky?
Good reason: As a secondary character, I think he has a strong and well defined personality. Is a powerful shinobi, with style, good sense of humor and.... cat ears.
Well, maybe I don´t have good reasons to like him, but I do. It´s helpless.
(I can sing Master of Puppets while watching him XDDD!)
Sigh....


1) I Love the voice they choose for him (Japanese, the english version is evil)
2) For some reason I like it when he says 'Jan' at the end of his sentences... maybe I'm weird
3)Kabuki Paint on and off! xD I love it!

At the moment I can't think of more because my brain's a little fried at the moment. I also reeeeealy like drawing him to so yea. xD;



He's got such an indescribable attitude and skills with his jutsu~

However, I'd like to add to that how unique he is in utilizing difficult techniques; by not being envious of his brother who became the Kazekage; by painting his face even though it may cause question of his sexual orientation. Haha.




... Anyway, I really dont know why I like Kankuro so much, I guess it's just cuz he's Kankuro, and he rocks. Mby also cuz I have a lot in common with him ('sept I's a girl)

I don't just like him because he's badass.  I was first drawn to him because he has such an interesting and unusual way of fighting.  I also like that there are some things that people don't know about him yet, like what he did to become a genin.



Reason why i like him: i just love how he is so deticated to what he does best!(be teh puppet master! )



Um... Well, I enjoy the inner complexities of his realtion ship towards his brother. The fan drabbels I could do about that are just...^.^...I mean,He's awsome! It's so hard to explain!

Um......I believe my name says it all. He's sorta like Sakura, whom i also like, i think he and her make a great couple, anyway he's a caring brother, and a sarcastic guy and puppets? HOW FRESH!!!!!


A few reason I love Kankuro is, his unique Jutsu involving puppets, the fact that he seems to be the "un-loved" sand sib, his snappy attitude and confidence and I love his arrogance and dislike for kids younger than him
I also love the way he fights, with stealth, skill and poison hehe




Hmmmm. Reasons for liking Kankurou. Where to start, where to start...

1) His jutsu is unbelievably awesome. I mean, PUPPETS! Puppets that kill people! Like when he fought Misumi, he was all "GRRR ILL FITE U >:0" and Misumi was all "LOLZ NO WAI!!!!11snapLOLZ UR DEAD" and Kankuro was all "NO WAI BITCH!!11 foold u!!!!11" ...yeah, that was spazzy.  Er.  The chakra strings are a bitchin' plus, too. '//w//'  Karasu is (well,  was ;_;' ) effing creepy, but cool as hell. And Kuroari. And Sanshouo.

2) His outfit. In specifics: the hat is adorable, the black costume itself is great, and best of all, the MAKE-UP. It's all mysterious and cool and kabuki and purple which is a GREAT color, especially on him.  8D  And he has three versions, no less!  They're all lovely, but I think the third is my favorite, when he's 17...  

3) He looks effing hot without the make-up! EFFING HOT! Pretty brown hair, the sexaycute face... @_@ *drools* People are all "GAARA IS SO MUCH CUTER FOO" and I'm all "NOOOOOWAI, lookit Kankurou without his makeup!!1" I just wish he'd take it off more often! >_<'    He's proof that you don't have to look like a girl to be damn gorgeous.  D:<

4) He's a Sand person. Hidden-In-Sand pwns all other villages LOL >D. Plus, he's not just ANY sand person, he's the effing Yondaime Kazekage's oldest son! Which makes him Gaara's big brother and Temari's little brother, which I find adorable somehow.   Mya.

5) His voice.  One of the best out of the whole series.  ;o;  So laid-back and casual-sounding...it's nice to just listen to.  *-*  Also, the mannerism.  8D  Everyone loves mannerisms, jan.  <3  And it's ever so cute when he says it.

6) God.  You just have to love someone who can still look ridiculously sexy, even in the throes of death.  DDD:.  DDDD//:.  <3  -nosebleed-  And after trying to save his brother, no less.  ;-;  That's devotion for you, ne?

7) He's a kind person!  ;___;  I know that sounds really sappy, but it's true.  DDD:  He clearly cares a lot for his siblings, but he also cares for others.  It's always nice to see humanness in characters.  (Even though we love the bad guys too, of course.  )

8) Sasori called him cute.  ......8D  That's awesome enough as is jan~.  XD

Why I like Kankurou?
Hmm... Should be easy, no?

First: He's an awesome character, with a really cool technique. I mean, imagine the skill you'd have to have to be able to control 3 puppets like those, at once!? And in Naruto II, he's also already a Jounin. Proves how much he owns (Yeah, okay, so Gaara is Kazekage. But Gaara is... Gaara )

Second: I just love that hat he's got. Kitty ears ftw! x3

Third: Yeah, this is probably included in every Join-Note you get, but... Damn he is just hawt without the makeup 8D


Reasons why he should be loved:
1. He is sexy with an additude!
2. I love guys that wear facepaint.
3. He wears a cat hat, awwwwww Kitty!
4. He could tie you up if he wanted to.
My friend says he's part mermaid... so yeah...


I like Kankuro because he's one of the toughest characters in Naruto. He's always standing up for his siblings even if no one else will.

  




I really like Kankurou, because he's not your stereotypical manga guy. His slight chubbyness and his pinchable nose makes him look very sweet. Also, I admire him for being proud of his excellent puppeteering skills, and for the fact theat he does not boast about it. (Like some other ninjas do, whose names shall not be revealed.)

It made everything go from better to best when they picked the perfect voice actor for him as well. I try not to squeal whenever he says his little "Jyaaan..." and smiles his special Kankurou-smile (`_´).

Much love to Kankurou, the only man who can make the -face without looking like a dork.



Ok, so I like Kankurou because he rocks, and becasue he has the coolest jutsu's ever, chakra strings rock and so do puppets... especially puppets. I also like his kabuki paint, it is teh bomb! Oh and I also like him cause of when he saved Kiba when he was fighting Ukon and Sakon, he was soo bad ass!



Okay...when it comes to Kankuro, I feel that..

Yattajan is the best word ever.
He japanese voice is the sexiest (next to Shino's).
His jumpsuit is awesome, when I see it...I think, "It'd be like peeling a banana!"
I'm not embarrassed when I forget I'm lusting after a 14 year-old anime character.
Imagining what he'd do with his chakra strings in his spare time (wink wink, nudge nudge) isn't weird.

first of all, i like him because he's gaara's brother (and gaara is my major fave char in naruto). i like kankuro because gaara treats him like trash (before shippuden) but kankuro still remains a true brother to his sibling. and i absolutely fell in love with him when he went off to save gaara by himself in the shippuden series. so umph!



I love his attitude and personality! And that he's supportive and protective of Gaara regardless of what other think of his little brother.




Kankurou (as you can see in my name) is one of my favourite characters of all time! I think the best thing about him (I mean apart from the fact that he is super smexy ) is the whole kabuki thing he has going, with the paint and the accented voice (in the Jap. version obviously) and the costume etc. I could probably go on forever!






I like Kankuro just because of his character! He's like one of the best ones because of his attitude, and his hat, The hat is kickass. :3






THIS is why I Kankurou:

1) I always respect a man that wears makeup. I know, I know, it's facepaint, but come on, facepaint around those (sexy) eyes? The brush would mess it up! Purple eyeliner for the win! That's what I used for my cosplay, anyway- it worked well!

2) Sand Village = PWNAGE. Forget the Sound, Mist, or what-not. Gotta love the villages in the middle of the desert.

3) He's got the most original weapons ever. You don't see people with giant puppets that poison or stab people everyday, you know. I'm just waiting for him to use a Muppet or something.

4) Gaara is overrated. Don't get me wrong, Gaara is cool and all, but he gets WAAAAY too much attention. Poor Kanky. He needs more love from teh women! Or... just fans in general would be good.

5) I love his hair. X_X I'm not quite sure why, it might just be the way I happen to draw it, but it's gorgeous. And I wish he didn't always wear his hood (nothing against a man that wears cat ears, either ).

I'm positive that there are more, but I can't think of any right now. X_X

Umm... What I like about Kankurou.. O.o The first time I saw him, I really didn't know what to think. I really liked his bad-ass attitude towards the kids But as the series went on, I grew to realize how interesting he actually was. And I had never, ever thought of cosplaying anyone before that, but when he appeared, that was it; The person I wanted to cosplay out of respect - I wanted to be him. Why cosplay..? Simply because I can't draw ;__; This is my way to show respect to characters I appreciate.

Kankurou has always been my favorite character in Naruto (And favorite character in any anime). I like Kankurou because his fighting style is unique, and his face paint brings out the character in him!

Well, Just by goin' on my profile you could probably tell I'm a fan. I still have A LOT of pictures to post, the majority being Kankuro. But the thing is, I'm CrAzIlY obsessed with Kankuro. He's been my favorite on Naruto since I first saw him. I much like that cocky badass-ness to him, but then there's that other side to him that just wants to make peace with his family and that he would do any for them. I'm much aware that he doesnt recieve the most 'love' and honestly, it REALLY ticks me off- why people cant see the awesme-ness in him. Every moment I'm around a group of anime freaks, I'm prepared to defend him in any possible way, and give tons of reasons why he shouldnt be mocked and instead why he should be loved, and stuff like that. I'm more of a fangirl than you think, I just try hard to hold it in so people dont think I'm a complete psycho. hehe, I hope you dont think I am I must tell you though, my obsession has also caused me a great hatred for his sister Temari; every second that I see her in the anime, I completely dread it, cause she takes all the attention away from Kankuro. Already as sad as it is to admit it, he's probably one of the least popular characters..and I'll never understand why Though at the same time, I'm glad I fangirl over a character that isnt particually that typical.


It's hard for me to think why I like Kankurou because I was never really sure why I was drawn so to him~ I really like his puppetier Jutsus, he was very original until Sasori showed up (Damn that Sasori >__<  ) He also rocks on Narutometto Heros 2~ Hahahaha! One of my best characters to play






Well for one, I always felt kankuro was stuck in gaara's shadow, especially growing up,  the attention is mostly on gaara that people seem to not focus on the others, I guess thats why i like him.  Kank is just an awesome shinobi with very feirce skills.

I like kankuro because he is a sand sib, for one. two, he has a cool style of battling. He sticks out from the other charecters because he is so cool! I also like his dolls(the crow). He has a unique face painting ability  He has a personality of his own that is unlike anyone else, and he acts like a normal, everyday person/ ninja! That's why I like kankurou.



I like Kankuro because....well, many things, of course, but maybe mainly because...he's one of those few good-looking manly characters in Naruto! Girly boys are okay too but I tend to prefer the more masculine ones. Kankuro is hot! His nose especially is lovely! And his voice is great in the anime. And he's a CAT! You gotta love 'im!



I love Kankuro, well, because I like his use of puppets for battling, they have different attacks, which is interesting



Well. I have to give you ONE reason as to why I like ♥Kankurou♥? Pfft. Way to stifle my fangirly rants about someone.

Well, when I first saw Kankuro appeared on Naruto that fateful day, back when I was a wee little 12 year old with a bad case of I REFYOOZE 3 SP3LL GUD -itis, I was instantly hooked. I was sorta thinking. "WTF d00d. He looks liek Batman. Batman pwns so whatshisface pwnz 2 !11". When Karasu made an appearance, I smacked my fat little face against the screen in pure happiness. I kept going on and on about how " 1 wish I cuud have chakra strngz" afterwards. It earned me a few good smacks over the head for being annoying but I had found the coolest character out of all of the Naruto characters. It was that defining moment in my life that I had found someone who could block out thoughts of how much I hate Sasuke and replace them with thoughts that seemed too obsessive for any healthy person.

In other words, I like Kankuro because he has a cool hat, his fighting style is very unique and awesome, he's a Suna nin, he's the first Naruto character I've liked enough to smack my face against the TV in happiness and because he looks so kyoot without the coolieo face paint of his. Then there's Karasu but I'm not writing about why I like that, now am I?


I love Kankuro because he's awesome with his puppets and can be a really emotional guy at times.

Kanky is one of my fav characters in the series.He is hawt,he is one of the sand sibs,he is and amazing brother,i adore Karasu,Kuroari and Sanshirou,i love his make up,his clothes,his jutsus and his personality<3

  



Gaara's really cool and all and everyone luvs him, but his older bro ish pretty cool too. ^^ Lets see....

1.) the face paint XD. Cool looking and amusing to the public eye.

2.) His voice in English. He sounds so lazy i luv it ^^.

3.) Royalty-- I mean come on! Kazekage's son!?! and oldest too. i thought he was gonna be the Kazekage becuz he's the oldest sibling...still don't understand why Gaara became Kage instead of Kanky? Maybe he was bein' lazy or somethin'

4.) The puppet jutsu. It's soooo original and cool. Very gory too, like when he fights along sde Kiba and fights Sakon. Karasu and his other puppet combine, trapping Sakon. Watching the blood ooze out of the puppet was completely entertaining. PWNED! lolz.

Anyways, i guess that's enough ^^. he should really take off his hat more too!



Kankurou is my favorite of the sand siblings. Sadly i don`t even really like Sunagakure.. But for some reason i just adore Kankurou to death and back. <_<; He`s adorable, fun, and deffinatly beats the heck out of Gaara (whome - is boring. > :3)
kankurou i`d have to say is one of my all time favorite Naruto characters. And i think he deserves more love than what he gets.



Kankurou is quite an interesting character- His personality is different compared to other Naruto characters, and I've always liked long-distance fighters (especially ones who use poisonous trajectories).

Also, I really like how his interactions with Gaara frequently changes, from being irritated with him to caring about him, to the point of going after Akatsuki to retrieve Gaara.






Kurou-kun is da best ever! Why do I think that? Well...how to pick just one...well, I can't.

First thought he's cool cause he wears face paint and a kitty hat, and uses puppets which all make him vastly different from everyone else. I've always liked weird characters.

Also, the way he was introduced was pretty cool. The first time we see him, he's picking on Konohamaru, a character I find horribly irritating, and stating how he finds kids annoying, a view I also share! (Go, Kankurou!) Well, then Gaara comes and Kurou freaks out ('G...gaara!'), and I just find that scene hilarious.

Plus, now Kankurou shows such a cute and admirable devotion for his brother that makes him even better! So, that's why I love Kankurou.

Well, I LOVE Kankurou because he is a sexy, hardcore beast. I adore the face paint and all his marionettes. But I especially LOVE him in the Gaara arc of the manga when he gets hurt and insists that they have to go after Gaara. He's such a good brother! Weeeee. I hope that's good enough. Also because I think he would be dirty in the sac and that's frickin' awesome!

Kankuro... lots to be said, but, honestly, I think the real reason I like him is  because he's REAL. He acts just like a normal guy... He hates kids, which is EXACTLY like me... he's so proud, and hates the fact that he's bossed around by his younger bro (Kazekage envy! O__O). And he has something that none of the other characters have, which is the CATHAT. xD Another thing that draws me to him is the fact that he stands out from the other characters physically. Most of the characters are so slim and perfect... and Kankuro seems to be a bit on the heavy side, no? Although it may just be his clothing, it definately makes him stand out in my eyes.

Hmm, why do I love Kankurou? There's many reasons. Before I even heard of Naruto, my friend showed me  the 3 True Naruto Style flashes. I remember seeing them and thinking "Hahahathatcatmanistehfunnylol."

When I started watching the show, I still thought he was awesome. The puppet jutsu is just incredible. Everyone either has some combat move, crazy bloodline thing, blah, blah blah, but Kankurou has his awesome puppets. It just really stands out from the other characters. I think his outfit is adorable, although I wish he would change more than his make-up every once in a while.

The thing that really made me love Kankurou was his relationship with his brother. It was funny in part 1 when he was scared to death of him, but it was so sweet in part 2 when he showed that he really cared about him and loved him, enough to risk his life for him.

So, I think that's it, jan.



Kankuro is by far one of the most interesting characters I've ever come across in an anime series. He's been my first big obsession since Hiei of Yu Yu Hakusho several years ago; which is saying a lot. Kankuro's personality stood out a lot for me because he seems so open for changes yet at the same time continues to be himself. I feel like there's enough there for someone to feel as though Kankuro can be a big brother or a little brother. There are also subtle changes made to him throughout the series that make him a somewhat complex seeming character even though he isn't one of the main focuses of the show. Especially seen in his relationship with Gaara, one can really admire how after so many years of fearing him you can see it was very likely that, all along, he really did want to be there for his little brother.

Over all, trying to explain why I like Kankuro so much is like trying to put into words how you know you've found 'The One'. Now that isn't meant to sound like I think Kankuro's my only one and I live in some fantasy world where we're married and have 2.5 ninja babies but it is meant to show how much relation I can feel to him. It's an attempt (that I hope doesn't come off too creepy!) to elaborate just how neat it is to find someone that seems down to earth and real as Kankuro.

He's one of the characters that you could really point out faults with if you wanted to. Compared to the other ninja in Naruto, Kankuro is one of the few that seems to have real issues that a living person in our world could relate to. He doesn't have a demon monster that could eat his personality or shred his village; he doesn't want to kill his brother for slaughtering their family, but beside these things he still is clearly damaged. His problems and faults are more realistic than some of the others yet he isn't so boring that he just 'is there', which gives fans that are stuck in our normal 'boring' lives something to compare to.




Kankuro is my favorite character from Naruto! I was interested in him from the start--When i first saw him in the manga and in black and white, i thought that his face paint was black and white too, so, combined with this AWESOME hat, my first impression of him was--"Woah....HE'S A PANDA MAN!!!!!!!!" But then, i was totally blown away when he showed off his puppeteering skills in the Chunin exam preliminaries--it was my first favorite fight! I found the whole idea of a battle puppet and a puppeteer ninja so unique and creative that I was converted into a Kankuro fangirl. A large chunk of my art is Kankuro/sand sibling themed, and the majority of it is actually a doujinshi with Kankuro and Tenten (yes, i know it won't happen, but i still like it. ^_^) which has currently exceeded 200 pages. Also, for Otakon 2007 i cosplayed as Kankuro and even made a life-sized Crow doll out of a backpack (he's currently crammed in my closet, though.  ) and i sometimes wear his trademark hat that i made for the costume to the school charity hat days. ^_^


I like Kankurou because...well, he's a rather unique character. His attitude is really what makes him, and he does have a sense of honor and family (i.e: Saving Kiba and helping his brother both pre and post time skip). Plus his hat is awesome >w< Though that's not really a reason, I had to put it.



Reasons I like Kankuro? Well, for a start I love how he uses puppets as his battle equipment! Actually when I first saw him I thought he had a mummy on his back and that's why I wanted to find out more. I also love his Kabuki (sp?) face paint and how it changes as he gets older. Plus he's so fun to draw!!



I like Kankurou because he cares for his siblings and his friends.  He's a skilled ninja and he makes ninja war paint look good.


Well I personally love how Kankuro fights. It makes me think of the physical form of poetry. His speech is also very beautiful. I love his almost flamboyant attitude. He just over all rox!!!


ONE: He reminds me of a kitty and I love them to death!!!!!

TWO: He is like one of the only younger ninja that looks completely unique. He has a thick appearance and has a differently shaped face and so on...plus his nose isn't raped...IT HAS SHAPE!!!!!

THREE: Puppets!! Holy crap I love puppets!! Karasu has to be the cutest deadly thing out there besides Kankuro himself!!! xD

FOUR: Those chakra strings are super spiff. Imagine all the things you could do with those things! Like, make ppl go get stuff for you and all you have to do is manipulate them with your fingers!!

FIVE: Kabuki freakin makeup!!! AND IT'S PURPLE!!! Purple's mah fave coor EVAR!!

SIX: His attitude. He's all like "Whatevh! You can't beat me, idiot! you need a life ya freakin loser!" He's laid-back and tough and confident he can beat anyone (which he probably can) :3

SEVEN: Spikey hair!! I spikey hair like to the uber max! xD And his eyes are all like RAWR!







I like Kankurou since  in the manga he's a caring brother to both his siblings, a kick-ass puppet jutsu user, and has a body to drool over for.  What more can you ask for?

He was the coolest one when i first saw Naruto... and come on i liked the cat ears the most and the face painting and i just like him all round..
Really i think it's caues he's creepy and dark looking but is kind'a in a weird way funny..

Why do I like Kankuro?

Well first when I saw him in the anime he was "the guy dressed like a kitty" so I liked that. Then he yanked out the puppet and became "the guy who dressed like a kitty and played with dolls" !!!! So I liked him for that!
Then as I got to know him, his bullying attitude and unique face painting style got me and I fell in love.
Then came the later issues where he showed love for his brother and then the shirtless poisoned thing and...
I love Kankuro...


Well, naturally I like Kankurou.  Puppets are great, and so is Kabuki.  (I'm majouring in Archaeology and plan on studying in Japan weee) Ah, yes...  although I did like Kanky in the first part, he definitely improved in Shippuuden. Like whoa. XD --Not just looks either... I like how he matured.  And besides, he's Gaa's brother XP
I've just been wondering how the heck he manages to wear so much black in the desert XDD  Like in most desert culture (which is extremely interesting) a lot of clothes are worn, but not so much dark... heheh.
